This op-ed ad brought international attention to the plight of endangered Olive ridley sea turtles which were being decimated on Mexico's beaches as females returned to ancestral beaches to hatch their eggs. The ad called on President Salinas de Gotari to help protect the nesting beaches that were essential to the survival of the species.
