Coleman Advocates for Youth YouthTime Campaign
Transit ad, 1997
One in a series of San Francisco bus shelter posters promoting new city policies for adolescents in education, recreation and employment. The campaign, coupled with politically astute organizing efforts, aimed to remake adult perceptions of teens and remind taxpayers that young people have the independence, energy and idealism to be a vital civic resource. The demonization of this marginalized population has long excused their neglect by adult decisionmakers serving more articulate and wealthier constituencies. Click for PDF
