U.S. Public Interest Research Group, Greenpeace USA and the Alaska Emergency Response Team (ALERT) placed this ad to build support for a BP Amoco shareholder resolution calling for the company to cancel any plans for oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and stop spending BP Amoco funds to lobby Congress on the issue. The resolution garnered an impressive 13.5% of the vote.
